Questions worth answering first
What does my phone need to run?
iOS 15.0 or later, Android 7.0 or later. Both platforms have the same features and share one account.
How does the device pair with my phone?
Pick your model in the app, scan over Bluetooth, connect and pair. There is no QR code to scan and no Wi-Fi setup for the device.
Does my phone need to be nearby while recording?
No. The device records on its own and stores the audio locally; open the app later to sync. The app never uses your phone microphone.
Does the device need internet access?
The device itself is offline. When there are many files you can use Wi-Fi fast transfer, where the device opens a hotspot for your phone to connect to. Transcription and summaries run server-side after your phone uploads the audio.
Which languages can it transcribe?
You choose the audio language before transcribing. The list is searchable in the app and served from the backend, so it varies slightly between service regions.
Can it tell speakers apart?
Yes. Turn on speaker identification and give a rough count (2–20), and the transcript is split by speaker. Automatic mode makes that call for you.
Can I export transcripts and notes?
Copy them, or export files: MP3 and WAV for audio, TXT, SRT, MD, DOCX and PDF for transcripts and notes, PNG and XMIND for mind maps. With WPS installed they open in one tap.
How do I choose between the China and United States regions?
Pick a service region the first time you use the app. Sign-in, transcription and summaries all run through it. If your region cannot be detected, the app asks you to choose once.
Do I need to tell people before recording?
Yes, and the app prompts you to confirm it. Requirements differ by country and region, and some require the consent of everyone present, so say so before you start.
How reliable is the AI output?
Transcripts and summaries are model-generated and can misrecognise or over-condense. Exports carry a note saying so. When it matters, go back to the original audio.
